Louise Schorn Smith, CPA, MBA

Louise Schorn Smith, CPA, MBA is the Founder and President of Countryside Accounting Solutions, Inc. Ms. Smith is a knowledgeable business professional with broad experience in financial and organizational management. Her extensive management roles include accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, general management, program planning, financial training, and reporting to Board of Directors of nonprofit organizations and owners of small businesses. Ms. Smith provides her clients with both strategic and practical advice.

Currently, Ms. Smith is a member of the Chester County Community Foundation’s Finance Committee. She has served as a Board Member of numerous organizations in the past – including the Rodale Institute, the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), Family Service of Chester County, Maysie’s Farm Conservation Center, and the Farm Based Education Association. She was also the founding Treasurer of the Chester County Flower Show. Ms. Smith has been an effective fundraiser in her Board roles helping nonprofit organizations connect with like-minded philanthropists in their communities.

Ms. Smith is a graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Later she received her MBA in management from West Chester University. She earned her CPA designation early in her career. Ms. Smith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She has also achieved the Able Toastmaster designation. Ms. Smith has earned the AIPCA’s Not-For-Profit Certificate, a distinction that demonstrates her in-depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting issues.

Ms. Smith received the AWSCPA’s Lead By Example national award in 2015. This award recognizes businesses with a strong women’s program in place and strong women in leadership positions.

Michael Alexander

Michael Alexander is the Vice President and Director of Operations of Countryside Accounting Solutions, Inc. Mr. Alexander is an experienced business leader with a diverse background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, human resources, general management, and reporting to business owners and nonprofit board of directors. His previous work in logistics companies enables him to provide clients with both strategic and practical advice.

As a former Board Vice President at Family Service of Chester County, Mr. Alexander has a first-hand understanding of the needs of nonprofit organizations. Mr. Alexander appreciates the opportunity to provide support to like-minded philanthropists in their communities.

Mr. Alexander is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in International Business.

Brittany Britz, CPA, MBA

Brittany Britz, CPA, MBA is the Technical Director of Countryside Accounting Solutions, Inc and is responsible for the overall technical accounting quality of our team’s work. Ms. Britz is an accomplished accountant with audit, tax, corporate accounting, and nonprofit accounting experience. She oversees our Quality Assurance department, facilitates our professional staff’s accounting training, and leads collaboration efforts to develop standardized accounting tools. She also connects with our clients regularly to assure a high level of satisfaction.

Ms. Britz earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration degree at Eastern Illinois University.
